JOHN
D’AGOSTINO

John was born and raised in North Bay. He grew up working in his family’s new home construction business where he steadily learned (the hard way) the nuts and bolts of operating a family-owned business. He graduated from Laurentian University in 1987; the University of Windsor in 1990; and finally, the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 1992. John started his legal career as an articling student with Toronto based Loopstra Nixon and McLeish where he continued his corporate commercial and real estate law practice until the spring of 1997 when John and Cindie decided to return to North Bay to raise their young family.

RANDEE
GRECO

Randee articled and then practiced with the Department of Justice in Ottawa after being called to the Bar, where her work provided insight and experience with the mechanics of government program operations. Randee focuses her practice on  asset purchases and sales, commercial leases, corporate reorganization, incorporations, share purchase and sales, and residential and commercial real estate transactions.

While not from North Bay, Randee has made this beautiful city her home. Randee is a member of the Nipissing Law Association and the Canadian Bar Association.

When not in the office she can be found enjoying time with her family in the great outdoors.

DANIELLE MAGNUSSON

Danielle has been a part of the team at D’Agostino & Associates since 2013 following her call to the Ontario Bar and completion of her articles in Sudbury. Danielle advises clients on a wide range of personal and commercial matters. Her practice includes residential and commercial real estate, business sales and acquisitions, financing transactions, the preparation of wills and powers of attorney, and estate administration and guidance.

Danielle is a member of the Board of Trustees of the North Bay Regional Health Centre Foundation (NBRHCF) as well as a member of the Gift Planning Committee of the NBRHCF.

Danielle was born and raised in Corbeil and continues to enjoy the view from the country window. Almost as much as from center ice.

ANNA
FITZSIMMONS

Anna was born and raised in North Bay and attended Nipissing University for her undergraduate studies. She was recognized with the Dave Marshall Leadership Award, and Valedictorian of her class. After graduating, Anna was also recognized with the Dr. James Jamieson Influential Alumni Award.

Anna was a member of the Charter Class of the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law, in Thunder Bay. Here she served as the Founding President of the Law Students’ Society. Upon Graduation, Anna worked for the Treasury Board Secretariat, where she advised many ministry clients in labour and employment relations issues. She has experience representing clients at the Grievance Settlement Board in mediation and negotiation.

In 2019, Anna returned to her hometown and maintains a broad wills, estates, labour and employment (employer), not-for-profit, and real estate practice. She has volunteered as a Director and First Vice-President on the Capitol Centre’s Board of Directors, currently serves as a Director on the Public Services Health and Safety Association, and teaches Commercial Law at the Nipissing University School of Business.

YANNICK
BENOIT

Yannick is an associate lawyer practicing in Corporate & Commercial law, advising Canadian business clients on various matters including corporate governance, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate reorganizations. Growing up as a Northerner in New Liskeard, Ontario, Yannick developed a keen interest in the resource-based businesses and networks of trade and distribution required to sustainably grow the communities of the North.

Yannick routinely works on transactions dealing with the purchase and sale of shares, assets, and commercial real estate, corporate restructurings, and tax reorganizations. Yannick further provides legal counsel and strategic advice on corporate governance, not for profit organization, business development, and risk management to business organizations, ranging from start-ups to mature corporate and institutional clients.

Yannick proudly graduated from Northern Ontario’s Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, after earning his undergraduate degree at Nipissing University in North Bay, ON. Having originally studied and trained as a law clerk, Yannick has a deep appreciation for, and understanding of, the nuts and bolts in practicing law. Yannick is in the process of completing his Master of Laws in Business (LLM) at Osgoode Hall Law School.

In his free time, Yannick can be found exploring the vast network of trails surrounding North Bay with his wife and travelling abroad in search of new culinary adventures.

Our Administrative Assistants

Janey Muratore

Janey is a graduate of the Legal Assistant Program at Canadore College.  She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the firm, having worked as a law clerk for over 42 years. Janey has experience in all areas of law but now primarily focuses on residential, commercial, and industrial real estate matters.

Christina Pannabecker

Christina is a graduate of the Business Administration Accounting program at Canadore College.  She is responsible for day to day bookkeeping, banking and general office administration.  She has worked for us since 2010.  She steps up and assists with corporate legal matters whenever necessary.  She was previously an administrator for a small franchise company.

Alessandro “Alex” Simonetta

Alex is a graduate of Georgian College’s Law Clerk program in Owen Sound. His current practice area is corporate law, and when necessary, assists with the maintenance and management of our office’s website.

Serena Desrosiers

Serena received her BA (Honours) in Criminal Justice from Nipissing University. She began Clerking in 2019. Serena joined the team in 2022 and her current practice areas consist of residential and commercial real estate, wills, and estates.

Brook LaPrairie

Brook is a graduate of the Law Clerk Program at CTS Career College. She was hired after she completed her placement with us.  Her practice area is corporate / commercial law. 

Bernie Allerston

Bernie is a graduate of the Legal Assistant Program at Canadore College. She has been working at the firm since 2016.  Her practice areas are residential, commercial, and industrial real estate. 

Deanna Smith

Deanna is a graduate of the Legal Assistant Program Canadore College. She has been working at the firm since 2005.  Her practice areas are wills, estates, and trusts as well as corporate & commercial law.
